This privacy policy explains how we collect and use personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP, in force since 1 September 2023). Where we offer our services to people in the United Kingdom, the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) also apply; see section 7.

2. Data We Collect and Why

Contact enquiries. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent given by submitting the form.

Booking a call. When you book a free call through the online calendar on our booking page, the booking tool collects your name, email address, the time you choose, and any notes you add. We use this only to arrange and hold the call and to follow up on it. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and your consent. The calendar is embedded on our booking page and provided by Cal.com; it loads when you open that page.

Download email. When you download the Plana House drawings, we collect your email address. We use this to send you occasional updates about the project. You may unsubscribe at any time by writing to km@planaa.ch. Legal basis: your consent given at the time of download.

Analytics and advertising (with your consent only). With your consent, we use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Ads and the Meta Pixel. They place cookies and similar identifiers and collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view, and how you interact with our ads. We use this to understand how visitors use this website, to measure and improve our advertising on Instagram, Facebook and Google, and to show our ads to people who may be interested. This data is shared with Google and Meta, which may process it outside Switzerland and the UK. You can withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer. Legal basis: consent.

3. Cookies

This website sets analytics and advertising cookies only if you click Accept on the cookie banner. No analytics or advertising cookies are set, and the Google and Meta tags are not loaded, before you accept. If you decline, or withdraw your consent later via the cookie settings link in the footer, these tags are not loaded and we remove the cookies they have set. The online calendar on the booking page is a separate third-party service provided by Cal.com. It loads when you open that page and is subject to Cal.com's own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Services

• Netlify — hosts this website and processes form submissions. Data is stored on Netlify's servers (USA). Netlify is bound by a Data Processing Agreement. See Netlify Privacy Policy.
• Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics / Google Ads — used for website analytics and for measuring and delivering advertising (only with consent). See Google Privacy Policy.
• Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms) — used to measure and optimise our advertising on Instagram and Facebook (only with consent). See Meta Privacy Policy.
• Cal.com — online booking tool for free calls; processes the details you enter when booking. See Cal.com Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Contact and download form submissions and call bookings are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected, and deleted upon request. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the standard retention settings of Google and Meta.

6. Your Rights (Swiss nFADP)

Under Swiss data protection law, you have the right to:

• Request access to any personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of your personal data
• Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing
• Object to the processing of your personal data

To exercise any of these rights, please write to km@planaa.ch. We will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

7. Visitors from the United Kingdom

If you are in the United Kingdom, UK GDPR and PECR apply to our processing of your personal data and to the cookies described above. Our legal basis for analytics and advertising cookies is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. In addition to the rights listed in section 6, you have the right to receive a copy of your data in a portable format and to restrict its processing. To exercise your rights, write to km@planaa.ch. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

8. International Transfers

Some of our service providers (Netlify, Google, Meta, Cal.com) are based in or process data in the USA or other countries. These transfers are made on the basis of standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards recognised under Swiss law and, for visitors in the United Kingdom, under UK law.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated date.
